Request Access (if the email was not sent to you)

When a secure email is sent, the only people who have initial access are the recipient of the original email.


If you were to forward the secure email to a third party, they will not be able to access this without permission from the original sender of the email.


  1. You have received a secure email that has been sent to you by a third party, not the original sender. As displayed in the below image, the sender of the email differs from the original sender of the email.
     
  2. Once you have clicked Open secure email, you will be presented with the below page. You will be denied access, but given the option the request access to the email contents. You can do this by drafting a message in the box and clicking send request.
  3. You will be presented with the following screen, confirming you have requested access.
  4. Once access has been granted you will receive the following email to confirm. Please then login to your egress account to access the documents.
